My name is Kaya Bowman, or Kaboomin’, or Idol. I make Drum and Bass, or Jungle, or IDM, but not really.

Kaboomin

I get a lot of influence from Downtempo/IDM/Neurofunk/Breakcore artists, and a lot of my inspiration comes from me endlessly analyzing other dnb tracks while thinking about how I can apply those very same techniques into something that I can call my own.  I started mixing around two years ago, and I just recently upgraded my setup to allow me to play a much more broad set of tracks.

I’m not really one to wax endlessly about things though, so you’ll just have to take a listen to one of my sets to get an actual idea about what I’m talking about.
